A Shakespearian romp about finding your family…in cosplay.
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Nathan Schmidt
April 12-28 2018
Role: Dromio of Syracuse
Wonderful work from Maggie as Dromio. She was playful, committed and clever in her work as she found her way through this rehearsal process. We ended up with a wonderful clown to root for…Maggie set a bar for this group of students to rise to.
~Nathan Schmidt, Director
Maggie is gifted in comedy. She understands the requirement to commit to the high stakes of the play with a broad range of expression in her voice and body. In this play, the errors come at significant cost to Dromio (mostly in distress and bodily harm). Maggie owns the role of a luckless underdog, caught in the tension of being a vital influence and agent for Antipholus, and the reality of having low social status and therefore being subject to abuse.
