I’m excited by is her willingness to work with her team, whatever their strengths and weaknesses might be, and work with those things rather than execute a simple checklist or predetermined set of steps. That flexibility within the form of Stage Management can be challenging and I see Maggie taking it on. Stage Management gets thought of as a very methodical, left-brained role, but in many ways that’s inaccurate. The art of Stage Management is the care and anticipation of creative people and Maggie certainly has the heart for that kind of work.
